If your business sends review requests or marketing texts, there’s a carrier regulation you need to know about: A2P 10DLC compliance.

It’s not new—but in 2025, enforcement is.

At Tiny Mammoth, we’re proactively helping all of our Review Engine clients stay compliant and avoid any disruption. Whether you're sending messages through us or another provider, this applies to you.

First—What Is A2P 10DLC?

  • A2P = Application-to-Person (automated or software-generated texts to customers)
  • 10DLC = 10-Digit Long Code (local phone numbers used for business texting)

To legally and reliably send SMS via A2P 10DLC, your business must:

  1. Register your brand with your legal business name and EIN
  2. Define your campaign (e.g., review requests, appointment reminders)
  3. Receive carrier approval before sending messages

So What’s Changed?

A2P 10DLC has been around since 2021–2022—but in 2025, enforcement got serious.

Carriers are now:

  • Blocking messages from unregistered senders
  • Phasing out shared or “umbrella” registrations
  • Penalizing businesses that don’t follow the correct process

That means if your business isn’t individually registered, your texts may be blocked, delayed, or filtered out entirely—no matter what platform or marketing company you use.

What You Need to Do

Each business must now have its own registered campaign, tied to a valid EIN. This is not optional—it’s a new standard for compliance, deliverability, and protection.

If you're a Review Engine client, we’re taking care of this for you at no extra cost. All you need to do is fill out a quick form so we can submit your registration properly.

📅 Deadline: July 31st, 2025
After that, unregistered businesses may see serious delivery issues.

Even If You Use Another Marketing Provider…

This still applies. Whether you're using Review Engine, another CRM, or a third-party SMS tool—your business still needs to be registered under its own A2P campaign.

If your provider hasn’t brought this up, it’s worth asking. You may be unknowingly non-compliant and at risk of filtered messages.
